Entrepreneurship

There are 123 economic entities in the region including three trade and production unitary enterprises, 114 individual entrepreneurs and four farm businesses.

Since March 2004 a filial branch of the production unitary enterprise Mebel-Klass has been operating in the region. The company specializes in manufacture of tables.

Individual entrepreneurs in the region undertake the following types of activity:

• retail trade – 64 businessmen;
• retail trade through shops, pavilions, kiosks, and other trading sites – 30 businessmen;

Services to population are rendered by 20 individual entrepreneurs.

In the rural areas there are four individual entrepreneurs.

The region’s businessmen are between 22-56 years old.

The trading network of individual entrepreneurs includes 15 shops with the total area of 500 square meters, eight pavilions with the trading halls, four pavilions without trading halls and six kiosks.

Some four shops run by individual entrepreneurs sell non-foods. Some 15 individual entrepreneurs are renting premises for their businesses.

Two individual entrepreneurs run public catering networks for 86 people each. There are two duty-free shops in the region – Helena Valerii and Bella Trading Duty-Free.
